Principal Process Engineer

The Process Engineering Specialist I will produce substantial organic growth based on technical advances and innovation and/or improve existing product lines.
The candidate will champion initiatives to resolve critical process and technological related issues and frequently serves as the final technical decision maker.
May participate in developing long range staffing plans.
The person in this role will have in-depth knowledge of product and process technologies in technically complex area or broad knowledge of multiple product and process technologies and maintains broad organizational knowledge.

Job Description

  • Use Front End Loading define and scope projects, evaluating process engineering alternatives based on technical feasibility and economics
  • Provides leadership in development and execution of Capital Projects from feasibility through construction and start-up.
  • Ability to recognize and initiate partnering and alliance teams at a project level with management support.
  • Develops technical deliverables on key capital projects to ensure workable, cost effective solutions are being developed that will meet the defined business/project objectives.

  • Process/Engineering Flow Diagrams
  • Material and Energy Balances (M&EB's)
  • Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's)
  • Failure and Cause Diagrams (F&CD's)
  • Scope document reports
  • Process requirements of new equipment/instruments
  • Delivers on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision
  • Manages Process Engineering for major multi-year projects
  • May participate in strategic planning relative to field of expertise
  • Participates in developing long range staffing plans
  • Develops measures that support key strategies and values
  • Leads optimization teams to identify opportunities for improvements in cost, capacity, environmental and safety issues
  • Proactively participate and contribute in all safety programs to continually improve the safety culture of the Company

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience required
  • Experience in Chemical and related industries is required
  • Experience using Front End Loading is desired
  • Sulfonation and/or Polyol experience is desired
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is desired
  • Demonstrated strong ability in process design including distillation, mass transfer, reaction, kinetics, and thermodynamics
  • Experience working with external engineering resources - prioritizing/delegating work and driving accountability/productivity

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering is required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
